In the time since I photographed the cherry trees along Granny White Pike in bloom on February 2, we have had many nights when the temperatures dropped into the low 20s. And several episodes of heavy rain. Today I was delighted to find that the Kwanzan cherry blossoms survived all that inclement weather and were still lovely to see against the blue sky.
