Forsythia

Sunshine on a gray day -- the forsythia blooming as a hedge near the sidewalk that separates the Lipscomb University campus from Granny White Pike. And the bright flowers were swaying in the chilly wind this morning, when I took these pictures of a planting next to the log cabin which was once the farm home of the school's founder, David Lipscomb.

  1. This is an impressive shot -- the log cabin roof, a knife-edge against the sky; the lowering clouds softening the scene; the sunny forsythia, a joy to see.

  2. Thank you, Nessie. I feel as if I got lucky with this one -- was able to use the image just as it came from the camera, with no cropping or tweaking in my image processor.
