One sister, one niece, and a generous sprinkling of my friends have birthdays in May -- as I do myself.
And yesterday a very dear on-line friend and her husband welcomed their first child, a beautiful little boy, into the world, an early birthday present for the mother, who herself has a May birthday in a few days.
