Yoshino Cherry (Prunus × yedoensis)

At sunrise, directly across the street from my house:

April in Black and White

From Dierk Haasis -- don't miss this impressive and dramatic collection! Quoting from his text above the April, 2013, slideshow at es bleibt schwierig:"Hinweis für die jüngeren unter uns: Do not adjust your set! Die Bilder der Galerie für April sind tatsächlich ohne Farbe, aber nicht farblos."

March Slide Show from Dierk Haasis

The theme of this collection ofimages from Dierk Haasis is sports, and the subjects treated include humans, humans and machines, and humans with animals. Don't miss the exciting sequence of images in which a mounted rider jumps a steeple-chase-type of fence barrier. It is almost like experiencing video. Some of my old favorites are here, too -- motorcycles and bicycle races. Not to mention soccer participants (football to my European friends).
